How does the Squeeze Page Toolkit work with DotMailer?
Once the toolkit has access to your DotMailer account, it will automatically fetch the Address Books you’ve created in DotMailer.
When you create a squeeze page with the toolkit, the opt-in form is a representation of your default form for your list, so when a visitor enters their email address and name into your form, they will be subscribed to that Address Book.
How do I set up DotMailer with the toolkit?
- Tell the toolkit your DotMailer API details, which allows the toolkit to talk to DotMailer automatically.
- Create an ActionSet, which is where you choose which Address Book you want the visitor subscribed to when they enter their details.
Then you can create a squeeze page in the usual way. When you add an opt-in form, choose which ActionSet you want to use for that opt-in form.
1) Finding the DotMailer API details and getting the toolkit talking to DotMailer
a) The DotMailer documentation takes you through finding and generating your API details (Look for the section labelled Creating your API key).
b) Once you have your API key, you need to enter your API key (e.g. 9f559dac06cb075f901127d19e362b83-us1) into the toolkit integration page for DotMailer.
c) Then click ‘Save Details‘.
2) Creating an ActionSet for an DotMailer Address Book
a) Specify a name for the ActionSet, this can be anything you like.
b) Choose the DotMailer integration, and then choose which Address Book you want to send the visitor’s data to.
c) Then click ‘Save Details‘.
