For the Squeeze Page of the Month award for December 2014, I’d like to congratulate Tom Warrender of Classroom Medics for his very simple (yet clever) campaign for building his list of future customers with a Facebook Ad. Tom’s ideal customers include science teachers and headteachers.
Having run the Facebook advert for just 1 week, he had 50 enquiries from schools. The really smart aspect of the campaign is that Tom gained an additional 15 contacts at schools just from teachers tagging their teacher colleagues into the Facebook ad comments, so that they’d see it. That means Tom got further leads for his business for no extra effort.
Quick Explanation: When you ‘tag’ someone in a comment on Facebook, it notifies them via their smart phone and via the Facebook.com website. This means that person’s attention is drawn to that comment and post.
After all of this, it cost Tom just £1.60 per enquiry. The campaign was so successful, that he had to pause the campaign for a few days just to catch up with speaking to his customers!
Tom’s offer was simple. Explaining the benefits of the activity days, and then offering them an information page.
Well done Tom!
